Hello Backers and Friends,

I know it's been a while since my last Update, and I wanted to be sure that I could give you a solid heads-up on where I'm at in the fulfillment process.

I also want to thank each and every one of you for your awesome support for my project, extreme patience and kind words!

So now I've started the laborious process of prepping and cutting the protective paper shipping sleeves for over 1,500 coasters!

Each set of paper sleeves for the envelopes have to be cut by hand and trimmed correctly, so that the coasters fit snugly inside the paper sleeves, and also don't slip around freely inside of the envelopes.

I still have to work on spreadsheets and sorting but, the fulfillment process will be all caught up and the coasters will be shipped out to their new homes shortly.

Today, I will be sending out the "Lock Addresses with Final Notice" email via Backer Kit, to all backers.

All this is, if you are unfamiliar with it, is a notice to backers, that they have 48 hours to make any changes to their shipping address, if need be.

After 48 hours, all addresses will be automatically locked.

Then I can start organizing the Backer data according to shipping groups, and process the spread sheet info so that I can start printing envelopes and shipping labels.

Thank you all again for your patience and understanding. I'll let you know in a future Update when the coasters start going out to the Post Office.

Update 7 - Thank you for your patience

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to say, Thank You to all of my Backers, for your support of my Gelatinous Cube collectible art coasters Kickstarter project, and also for your patience, since I know it is later than usual, as I normally would have shipped them out by now.

Due to the "perfect storm" of a health challenge and family matters, I'm a bit behind with things this time, but I'm on the way to catching-up shortly. 

In fact, I'm dictating this update to a pal is typing this up for me. Thanks, Buddy! (Hey, no problem, Tom!)

I will be having the help of a friend or relative or two (as they are become available), with all the tasks that I normally do myself, like creating spreadsheets and Backer order organization charts, coaster sorting, cutting the hundreds of packing sleeves, printing envelopes, making labels, Post Office runs, plus the myriad of other fulfillment-related things so that I can ship your orders out to you.

Again, I apologize for not updating everyone sooner, but I was being overly optimistic that at least my gout in my hands/wrists would not be an on-going problem. 

I'll get another update out as soon as we get things rolling and closer to shipping.

Update 6 - "Ready to Lock Orders" email sent from BackerKit

Hello Backers,

This is just a quick Update to let you know that I sent  the “Ready to Lock Orders” email notification.

This simply lets you know that if you have any change of address, Add-Ons you'd like to add, or make a change to which designs you'd like, you will have a little less than 48 hours to do so before I lock the orders for changes.

If you have no changes to make, then you're all set, with nothing more to do and you can ignore it.

I'm still waiting for one survey to be completed by backer Todd M.

The survey is very important, because it will give me your shipping address and what coaster designs that you would like. 

Back to the drawing board for me!

Update 5 - for Gelatinous Cube - D&D Inspired Collectible Coasters

Hello and Thank you all again for your support of my drink coaster art project here on Kickstarter!

I just wanted to let you know in this Update, that most of you filled out your surveys but I sill have about a dozen backers who have not.

I need to get as accurate a count as I can of the various designs each backer would like, so that I can lock the item counts for manufacturing, and place my own order with the printing company. So I really need those surveys completed!

(Backers can also change their address until I give an Update that addresses will be locked. This notification will happen about 48 hours before shipping.)

For people new to Kickstarter and Backer Kit, you do NOT need to create a Backer Kit account to fill out your survey. You just click on the survey link, fill it out, and you're good to go!

You will be able to answer questions about your:

- Rewards preferences

- Provide shipping information

- Pledge for more coasters!

If you think you have lost your survey email, or perhaps have not received one, no worries!
